River Recreation was founded in 1982. Based in Monitor, Washington, on the banks of the Wenatchee River, River Recreation has been providing professional white water rafting adventures for 30 years. Besides the Wenatchee River, trips are provided on eight other rivers in Washington State. River Recreation offers a white water experience for everyone. From the Lower Wenatchee River Family Float, which provides a lazy and relaxing time, to the high adrenaline rush of class v action on the Skykomish River, there is a trip for every level and every occasion.
River Recreation offers half-day, full-day, and combination river trips. In 2010, River Recreation introduced their White Water and Wine weekend adventure which combines a half-day of rafting on the Wenatchee River followed by wine tasting in the Wenatchee Valley area. In cooperation with Rescue 3 International, River Recreation is able to offer river rescue courses as well as their annual guide training program which has been featured in National Geographic Travel magazine. Through these programs, River Recreation is able to provide professional logistical and safety services. As always, safety is our number one concern and here, at River Recreation, we like to say:
